OCSM of the Week 2012

You know, every time Miss H. is nominated, I really really really want to vote for her.
But then I see whoever else is nominated, and they're totally trailing behind (Chica didn't get a single vote when Miss was already 7 Up, and only Miss' own vote went to Chica).
So then I'm like, how would all those other nominees feel if they didn't get any small sign of love.

I totally understand that people have their favorites, I mean I too have my favorite Babes on here. Some Babes I like more, some I like less, some I don't like at all, some I've never heard of before, etc etc etc (not just talking about this thread but the board in general).
But come on if you see that your favorite is leading clearly, throw some love to the other Babes as well. they all bust their asses (literally) to give us so much, what does a little vote of appreciation cost you?

I want every OCSM on here to feel like she's at least respected and appreciated and in the best case even loved. Even if some are not my case it doesn't mean that they shouldn't be appreciated/respected for their hard work, and all the effort they put into what they do.

Like I said, I would really like to vote for Miss H. and I'm sure she'll take the crown this week. I hardly know Chica, or her work, or anything else. Whereas Miss H. is the total board whore and really deserves to win.

But, because I think that Chica - wether she reads this thread or not (if she doesn't then maybe she's not the best choice this week for OCSM of the week, since I think the title should only go to active OCSMs, though some are very active around the board and especially their own threads that maybe they don't realize about this one) - should also get some love.

My vote, this week, goes to: Chica.

id like to say i agree with pretty much everything you said, Buggster. this thread is here to show appreciation to all the ladies who put in the effort to participate on the board, so i too feel bad when the score gets lopsided. id like to add two things, one, this thread is not as important and well-read as some might think it should be and many people who post a lot on this board have no idea it exists, so if Chica doesnt know about it its hardly her fault. two, Chica is, and has been, fairly active on the board (shes number 4 in OCSM post count) and from what ive seen very interactive in the threads she does participate in.

of course, everybodys free to vote for the people that they like even if that means some ladies dont get the love that they deserve.

Agreed.

It's a shame that we can't move the thread into the talk section. Maybe more ppl would participate and more of the OCSMs would be aware of it's existence. It is a good way to show the girls that they are appreciated for what they do on the board.

ocsm of the month! that was fun. i remember when that was a thing. good times.

i agree with you Buggster. However, it don't look at this thread as a contest in the sense of the world, more as a little game. Although we choose a winner, this doesn't mean the other girls automatically become "the loosers", because they are not. This thread is a place to show some appreciation and love for the girls who interact, and basically the fact that a girl gets mentioned makes her a winner, whatever the result of the voting may be.
Look at it from another angle. If this was a 'real' contest we wouldn't exclude the winner of last week (what if she interacted even more this week?) and many voters would stick to their favorites. But we don't. I could practically vote for Miss Hybrid every week as I see how much she interacts with members in her thread. But I don't. I could nominate Briana every week for the same reason. But I don't. Does that mean I don't respect them or wouldn't appreciate what they do?
Every girl who posts is appreciated and I love them for it very much. And we celebrate it by having a little fun in here.
